If you follow us on twitter or read The Actuary magazine you might have noticed us promoting our summer competition, #starsummerofsport
It's an exciting summer here in London and across the UK, so we thought we would celebrate by giving away a few prizes. We're tying the competitions in with the ongoing sporting events, so we have already released the details of two Euro 2012 questions.
We decided to test your skills of prediction so all questions should appeal to actuaries and sports fans alike, especially with prizes like a tablet PC up for grabs.
On the 2nd July we will be announcing the winners of our Euro 2012 spot prizes. Spot prize #2 is an international football shirt – the recipient will have correctly predicted England's first goalscorer in their second match against Sweden. Spot prize #1 is a tablet PC for predicting the winning country of Euro 2012. We wanted to make it fair so entries for spot prize #1 closed just before the tournament kicked off, but there are still other prizes to be won throughout the games.
Look out for Euro 2012 spot prize #3 and further spot prizes as we head towards Wimbledon and then the Olympics.
You can find full details of the competitions on our website, or you can register via email@example.com to receive updates. You can also stay up to date with the questions and results, as well as other news from Star Actuarial, through our Twitter and Facebook feeds. Winners are drawn at random, and while you can only enter each spot prize once there's no limit to the number of competitions you can enter. (For full terms and conditions see our website).
