If you are a qualified life actuary with a keen interest in developing your career within an actuarial consultancy, then this could be the role for you.
Joining a team of experienced actuaries, consultants and technology developers, you will manage the Manchester-based team of part-qualified actuaries, as they progress and develop through the Actuarial exams.
You will also provide technical input into a number of projects within areas such as valuation, reserving, capital management and reporting.
In addition, you will be involved in projects related to financial reporting and SII for the predominantly UK client base.
With considerable experience in managing or mentoring PQ Actuaries, the successful candidate will possess strong Excel skills and VBA skills coupled with detailed knowledge of UK reporting methodologies, e.g. SII, UK GAAP, IFRS.
Modelling skills (e.g. Prophet, MoSes, VBA) also essential.
Actuaries with pensions consulting backgrounds may also be considered if the candidate has substantial management experience.
