Our client, a market-leading insurer, has a unique fixed-term contract opportunity for a technically-astute, part-qualified life actuary with demonstrable Prophet skills to be responsible for integrating the day-to-day management of actuarial applications into existing financial systems processes.
Taking responsibility for planning all necessary upgrades and patches in accordance with change management principles, you will, where necessary, escalate issues to the appropriate software vendor, taking any key actions and seeing the issue through to completion.
In addition, you will also be involved in project work around actuarial systems, focussed on areas such as process improvement, automation and new system implementations from a technical perspective.
The successful candidate will possess a broad knowledge of Information Technology subjects, including areas such as databases, networks, storage, virtualisation and cloud technology.
Some knowledge of the following languages is also essential: Essbase; VBA; SQL; Powershell.
