Our DE&I Journey at Star

Diversity & Inclusion Bronze Accreditation

We are working towards the Clear Assured Diversity & Inclusion Standard. We have achieved bronze status and are now working towards silver status.

What is Clear Assured?

Clear Assured is a recognised inclusion standard. It provides the latest D&I resources and best practice for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, supporting us on our inclusion journey.

The Clear Assured standard is an accreditation that builds inclusion capability and confidence. Accreditation is evidence-based and practical. Some of the learnings we have put into practice so far include:

  • Making things more accessible.
  • Advertising on wider platforms to increase diversity of applicants.
  • Reviewed and updated various company policies.
  • Additional D&I training for the team on various topics including unconscious bias, mental health and peri/menopause.
  • Updating our induction pack for new employees.
  • Training on the best way to write job descriptions.
  • Attending virtual forums on topics such as race equality.

Our aim is to submit the widest range of suitable candidates for each role. We work closely with our clients to develop a comprehensive understanding of their needs, the service they require, their culture and the selling points of their roles, and to support their diversity and inclusion strategies. We will work closely with you to overcome barriers to diversity.
