Star Actuarial is currently representing an opportunity for a qualified life actuary to take the lead within the BPA pricing space of a leading-edge firm.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the implementation, strategic development and management of the BPA Pricing Team to ensure delivery of quality and competitive quotations for Bulk Annuities 

Focusing on the commercial attractiveness of BPA pricing, you will ensure that pricing is appropriately consistent with profitability hurdles, capital, risk, financial reporting and operational treatments.

In addition, you will provide pricing and commercial direction to reinsurance strategy to ensure pricing and reinsurance strategies are consistent while working with the Origination Team to navigate complexities and non-standard requests.

An expert in industry best practice, you will possess excellent knowledge of the bulk annuities market coupled with practical experience of pricing, including development of models, and application of actuarial methodologies for setting assumptions.

You will also be highly skilled in the use of relevant computer systems and packages (e.g. Prophet, Excel, Access).
