Are you a qualified non-life actuary with a degree in a quantitative discipline? Do you have strong knowledge of Solvency II, reserving, financial reporting and actuarial governance? Looking for a highly responsible role in a leading-edge insurer?
Then look no further!
This is a fantastic opportunity to coordinate Solvency II reporting activity while supporting the delivery of regular risk and capital management, second line IFRS reserving and pricing oversight.
Drawing on your analytical skills and ability to pay close attention to detail, you will validate data used for Solvency II capital calculations, ensuring it is complete, accurate, appropriate and supported by robust evidence.
In addition, employing your passion for change and innovation, you will lead or support process improvement, automation and digital transformation initiatives that improve actuarial reporting efficiency, control and insight.
This is a particularly exciting and high-impact element of the role, taking responsibility for answering some of the key strategic questions arising post-automation, for example, evaluating the returns on capital by insurance product and with an optimal portfolio. You will also address capital implications of the plan and implied dividend capacity as well as interrogating what would make an optimal reinsurance strategy, given the relative costs of reinsurance and capital implications.
With experience of actuarial modelling and strong Microsoft Excel capability, the successful candidate will possess the ability to communicate technical actuarial matters clearly to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
So take the next step on your career ladder within a major firm.
