Star Actuarial has an exclusive mandate from a technology-driven and award-winning boutique insurer to source a data-savvy pricing analyst to join its technical modelling team in a highly collaborative role.

Supporting the design and build of risk price projects for home insurance, you will play a key role in data extraction, analysis and modelling across the portfolio of retail products/perils.

You will also have the chance to liaise with the wider commercial team, working alongside retail pricing experts, data science and product deployment.

As part of pre-deployment analysis, you will additionally support management with the analysis of rate impact calculations.

Coming from an actuarial science, risk pricing or data science background, the successful candidate will possess strong pricing analytical skills within Personal Lines risk pricing.

SQL/SAS data extraction and analytical expertise is simiarly essential while a working knowledge of Akur8/Emblem/similar (as well as experience of open-source R/Python coding) would be highly beneficial.
