Star Actuarial is currently representing an exciting opportunity for an analytical Pricing Manager with a thirst for innovation to join a creative, flexible and inclusive global insurer where you will gain access to all the support you need to allow your career to thrive.

Supporting underwriting and technical teams, you will play a key role in achieving the underwriting performance metrics detailed in the Corporate Plan. 

Constantly on the lookout for new ways to innovate across all aspects of pricing, you will continually enhance data, software tooling, technical approaches and collaborative working methodologies across wider teams in order to deliver pricing sophistication and excellence to the market.

As part of this remit, you will lead the delivery of pricing forecasts, ensuring accuracy, insight and alignment with business objectives, while conducting detailed analysis to set Pricing Best Estimates and inform underwriting decisions.

You will also partner with Technical Pricing teams to ensure models reflect the latest view of risk and stay abreast of actuarial methodologies, market trends and competitor insights in order to maximise results and drive an evolutionary strategy.

With a strong background in insurance pricing or reserving, the successful candidate will possess expertise in actuarial methods and principles, ideally within pricing.

Experience managing or mentoring analysts and building high-performing teams is a must, as is excellent communication, emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, across all levels of seniority within the business.

Experience of ResQ, Coding and responsible AI within pricing would be highly desirable.

Qualified or part-qualified actuaries are similarly desirable (with study support provided for PQs) and those from a life insurance background, seeking to move into non-life, are welcome to apply.
