Are you a part-qualified (or qualified) pensions actuary with a keen interest in client-facing consulting?

Then this is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference in delivering positive outcomes for clients through guidance on effective decision making alongside solving complex actuarial problems.

Shaping end‑game strategies and guiding schemes through key transactions, you will combine your technical actuarial prowess with your client management and emotional intelligence skills to become a trusted advisor in your field.

You will also perform liability valuations, setting assumptions and undertaking sensitivity testing while validating and cleansing data to transaction‑ready standards.

In addition, you will advise on strategic and technical aspects related to wind‑ups, e.g.:

  • comparing scheme factors to insurer factors;
  • conducting winding‑up lump sum exercises;
  • informing funding reserves;
  • producing surplus balance sheets.

With the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, the successful candidate will have an analytical mindset as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Excel knowledge is likewise essential while experience with modelling/tools would be welcome.
